Medomak, a summer camp for families situated in Washington on a beautiful lake in the mid-coast region of Maine, is looking for an individual to oversee their micro-dairy operation and program.

Responsibilities include husbandry of one to two Jersey cows, milking twice daily, processing of the milk, and creation of various dairy products, e.g. cheeses, yoghurt, ice cream with camper families. Prior experience with dairy cows, and/or processing of milk is a definite plus, but not mandatory in lieu of a sincere willingness to learn, and love of milk cows. The scope of the job is considered full time, 40 hours/week.

This staff person can live on-site and will be an active participant in our camp community. Alternatively, the position can also be filled by a person who need not live on site. Position runs from June 15-August 20, 2016.

Salary is commensurate with experience. Further, salary will be adjusted depending on specific living arrangements with concomitant room and board costs.

We encourage you to check out our website and get a feel for our camp. (www.medomakcamp.com)
