Harvest Tide Organics, located on the beautiful banks of Merrymeeting Bay in Bowdoinham Maine, is looking to round out its seasonal field crew with 2 more full-time, seasonal employees. We grow diversified organic vegetables for a delivery based CSA, a growing wholesale market, and a small farmstand located in town. We are in our third year of production and are looking to increase our field crew up to three full time individuals.

We guarantee a standard 40 hour week, 8 hours per day during the week, with the potential for additional hours. Start times vary between 7 and 6 am, based on harvest days, typically the early mornings are Monday and Wednesday. Work may include the following manual labor associated with management of vegetables; transplanting, weeding, harvesting, washing, packing, trellising, pruning, etc. As a young farm with a huge amount of growth, we do not have current management positions, however the opportunity for employees to find a niche in the operation is definitely present and compensation will reflect increased responsibility.

Applicants should be prepared to work in all manners of weather conditions, be able to spend long periods of time squatting, standing, or bending, and be able to repeatedly lift totes or bags of produce weighing at least 50 lbs. Opportunities to learn about any and all aspects of the farm is possible.

Season starts late April, based on prearranged agreement, and finishes in early November, again based on prearranged agreement.

Pay starts at $10.00 per hour for no prior experience ($10.50 w/ bonus), and up to $11.50 per hour ($12 w/bonus) based on extent of prior experience.

Please email a little information about yourself, resume, and 2 professional references to: harevsttideorganics@gmail.com
