Currently seeking a helper/woodsworker for the 2018 maple season. The job involves a good deal of snowshoeing and outdoor work in inclement weather. Tasks include repairing and installing tubing and taps, checking vacuum during the sapping season, and assisting with a variety of manual tasks. Person must be outdoorsy and independent, enjoy living in a remote, rural location, and relatively comfortable with technical work. Could be a good winter job for a farm worker. We are located in Sandy Bay Township, 14 miles past Jackman on 201, and two hours from the nearest box store or traffic light.

The job would start in January and would go to June (could turn into a year round position), but we'd also be open to some flexibility with start and end times. Pay is hourly (starting at $11, more for someone with experience) with possible profit sharing for a committed person. We also have a primitive, off the grid trailer at our sugarbush for rent-free employee use. Must have a driver's license and own vehicle. (Couples considered.) Please call VJ at 207-322-1649 or email resume to frontiermaple@gmail.com.
