I, Ben Dearnley, started farming in 2005 and apprenticed at 2 large CSA's and then started Life Force Farm in 2007. I am actively studying organic, biological agriculture and trying to find ways to create the most nutritious and hardiest produce to last through the entire Maine year. I also strive to make the CSA model the most economic way to get local organic produce from the field to the eater.

The organically grown produce will be freshly harvested and washed and available for pick-up at the farm 2 days a week. I hope to balance the soil chemistry and build up the biological activity so the plants thrive and obtain the maximum flavor and nutrition.

What We Offer: Summer and Winter Shares, $400 and $350 respectively.. You get over $400 worth of food in each one! In addition to a diverse array of vegetables and herbs, there will also be a raised bed section with cut flowers and kitchen herbs available for self-harvest. You will also receive information on how to prepare and store your food and the farm will host potlucks for the CSA community.

How You Can Get It: Make a $100 deposit by 4/1 and pay in full by 6/1. You pack your produce at the farm on Tuesday or Friday between 4 and 7pm.
